From time to time throughout the semester I will post information about botanical gardens and the like in our region. The first is, perhaps, my favorite, Winterthur. This is an exquisite property developed by Henry Francis du Pont. If you are interested in natural looking landscaping this is the best example in our region. This is also an example of how private money does a better job than public funds in running a facility for the benefit of the public.

You are required to vist and report on one of the four listed gardens.

When you visit the garden you will need to bring back a receipt for your attendance along with a photo by any sign that shows you are at the garden in question.
